Broadneck High School’s stage comes alive in the musical Hairspray, with talented students singing and dancing in the Broadway and film musical to sixties music performed by a live orchestra. Don’t miss this rollicking performance as a pleasantly plump teenager's dream to dance on Baltimore’s The Corny Collins Show comes true and she achieves her goal to integrate the show. Broadneck’s gifted cast and crew add original humor, choreography, sets, and costumes that come together in a high-spirited performance for the entire family. Emily Cory, Andrew Lincoln, and Vanessa Pearson expertly direct this social commentary on injustices in 1960s American society. The spectacular production is supervised by Broadneck’s beloved Music Department Chair, Val Bennett.
