PHOTOS: Boy Scouts Plant 120 Trees for Arbor Day

The project at Kinder Farm Park was done with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Area Boy Scouts planted 120 trees at Kinder Farm Park on Saturday in celebration of Arbor Day.

The scouts were part of the Four Rivers District and worked with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Forest Service for the planting. The district includes scouts from across Anne Arundel County—including groups from Arnold and Annapolis.

The boys planted native trees, a portion of which was donated through the DNR’s Gift of Trees, which plants native trees to honor family and friends, celebrate holidays or birthdays, or observe other special occasions.
