Just when you thought there was no more room for new homes on the Broadneck Peninsula, Koch Associates and NVR, Inc. struck a deal on Deep Creek Village for 75 townhouses and 34 single family homes, off College Parkway near Bellerive Drive.
The long running school moratorium for Broadneck was lifted when Koch Associates put up $2 million early last year to build eight classrooms at Broadneck High School. This action by Koch created additional capacity for the nearby White property or Canterbury Village. Canterbury is a 130 unit project that has Sketch approval from Anne Arundel County.
Also, because of the change in the Broadneck school capacity, two other home projects are moving forward. Whitehall Development is dropping the age restriction on 42 townhouses on Route 2 and Koch Homes has 76 townhouses both off of Joyce Lane are headed for Sketch approval by Anne Arundel County. We will keep an eye on these projects and keep you updated.
