Get Out: Weekend of Sept. 30 to Oct. 2

Get out this weekend to enjoy activities in Broadneck including a fall family social, class to learn lifesaving skills and a magician at Anne Arundel Community College.

Now that it's officially autumn, it's time for fall festivals and getting out to do things in the community. Try something different this weekend—learn CPR and donate blood to help others.

Why go? This is a great community event that is family friendly with moon bounces, face painting, a book fair, a lollipop tree, games, food and more.

When/Where: Friday, Sept. 30, at 8 p.m. at the Robert E. Kauffman Theater at the Pascal Center for Performing Arts of (AACC)

Why go? Be prepared to be amazed by the tricks of magician and illusionist Mike Super.

Price: Admission is $10 for adults and children 12 and older, $5 for children under 12 and those with a valid AACC student ID and $7 for AACC faculty and staff members; tickets available at the door

Bloodmobile at St. Andrew by the Bay

When/Where: Sunday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Andrew on the Bay Catholic Church

Why go? Donate blood to help others in the community in need. The Anne Arundel Medical Center bloodmobile will be located in the upper parking lot.

Crosswalk for Kara Fundraiser

When/Where: Sunday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at Kurtz Beach

Why go? This fundraiser is dedicated to getting a crosswalk on Ritchie Highway after , after attending the carnival. There will be food, face painting, raffle, auction, prizes and more.
