I have just experienced the perfect storm of blogging, and I am not entirely talking about Hurricane Irene. The post-summer, school year busy time has hit our house with vengeance.

Between dance, pom pom practices, pom performances, soccer and Cub Scouts (we think), our kids are involved in some sort of activity every day of the week except Sunday. Nonetheless, the blogging freedom I experienced over the summer has been replaced with endless trips up and down College Parkway operating dad's taxi service.

I have managed a few quick trips out and about with the camera, but mostly I have been organizing my photos and editing some old photos. That's where the photo posted here today was found.

This photo is looking east from the pier at the Lake Claire beach at dawn. This photo was part of a set of relatively unremarkable photos. On this particular morning I was out with my son, who was 6 at the time. We both had cameras and were on an early morning "photo shoot" together. The time spent this particular day was more important that the images captured.

I am glad to be back on the blogging trail, at least for the time being. I have found some images in the archive that I will be posting over the next few weeks. Well, I'll try to post them ... provided I am not stuck in traffic on College Parkway.
