Cleared for Landing

Here is another photo from our trip last September to Captiva Island, Florida. On this day, I was exploring the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island.

Wow, here I am again apologizing for my lack of posts lately. Life has kept me busy and not blogging. Along with this photo I have also just scheduled a week of posting on my blog, you can follow those posts HERE

Here is another photo from our trip last September to Captiva Island, Florida. On this day I was exploring the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, on Sanibel Island. Like my last post this is a Snowy Egret, who flew in and landed right in front our cameras. Given their 41-inch wingspan they resemble an airplane approaching the runway as they land. These birds aren't the biggest and most stoic in the refuge, but they are very photogenic. Of the hundreds of images captured in "Ding" some of the best are of the Snowys.

As for my posting frequency, I'll try. I wandered away from a publishing schedule on my blog, which I am re-establishing. I'll be doing the same here, so with a little luck you'll see more photos soon. Until then, enjoy the Christmas season!
