Influential Annapolitan Marion 'Ronnie' Carr Dies at 92

Marion "Ronnie" Carr, a local woman who led a rich, storied life recently died at the age of 92.

Marion "Ronnie" Carr, 92, of Annapolis, died July 30. She had lived in the Ferry Farms community since 1948. 

Among her life experiences, Carr helped her husband Tom start Annapolis' first radio station, met stars like Fred Astaire and Frank Sinatra, rode in one of the first cars to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and met John F. Kennedy and the King of Saudi Arabia.
