Obituary for Joan Dimon Cosey

A longtime resident of Arnold recently passed away at her home in Catonsville.

Joan Dimon Cosey, 83, a resident of Charlestown Retirement Community, died March 25, 2013, at her home in Catonsville.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1929, in Hatboro, PA and was a resident of Severna Park from 1967-1984. Previous residences include Bad Aibling, Germany from 1984-1987 and Arnold, MD, from 1987-2011, before residing at Charlestown Retirement Community.

She was employed as a branch manager at AB & T Bank in Severna Park for more than 14 years.

Joan enjoyed bowling, sewing, and playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William McKinley Cosey Jr., who died on Oct. 1, 2009; her daughter, Linda Lehner, in 2010; and her brother, John Dimon, in 2013.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Memorial Service and interment will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 10:45 am at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.

She is survived by her children, Brad Cosey (Beth) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeffrey A. Cosey (Terri) of Severn, MD, and Kimberly C. Guglielmo of Durham, NC; seven grandchildren, Erin N. Lehner, Douglas M. Lehner, Joseph W. Lehner, Megan E. Guglielmo, Katherine G. Guglielmo, Lauren N. Cosey and Ryan H. Cosey; and one sister, Marta Keefer of Doylestown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gilchrist Hospice, 555 Towsontown Blvd. W.,Towson, MD 21204.
