Arrest Made in Arnold Theft From Auto Cases

Suspect arrested after trying to pawn some of the stolen items.

Following up on a number of thefts from automobile cases last week in Arnold and Pasadena, Anne Arundel County Police recently arrested Vincent Maxwell McHugh, 25, of no fixed address, after he tried to pawn some of the stolen items in a Baltimore County pawn shop. 

The thefts occurred from February 14-17. Detectives were able to track stolen items to a pawn shop in Baltimore County and worked with the business to recover additional property taken from the vehicles. 

McHugh is charged with taking the property, valued at over $6,000, from seven vehicles during the overnight hours on February 14 on Garland Rd. and Oak Dr. in Pasadena. Six additional thefts occurred from February 15-17 on Moore Rd. and Bunker Ave. in Arnold.

The property is being returned to the owners and additional charges are pending at this time. Anyone who may have been victimized should contact Detective Mary Price of the Eastern District Detective Unit at 410-222-6145. The investigation is ongoing.

McHugh is currently being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on $40,000 bail.
