Update: Child Dies After Being Pulled from Water at Sandy Point
A boy was given CPR after being pulled from the water this morning at Sandy Point State Park.
Update Monday/5 p.m. - The Capital is reporting the boy has died.
A five or six-year-old boy was pulled from the waters of Sandy Point State Park this morning around 8 a.m. but suffered life-threatening injuries, according to a fire department spokesperson.
The boy was swimming, but was noticed missing in the water. He was found and pulled from the water, and bystanders were giving the boy CPR when emergency rescue personnel arrived on the scene.

According to spokesman Capt. James Rostek, the boy continued to receive CPR and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center suffering from serious and life-threatening injuries.
