Drug Investigation Takes Police to Arnold

An investigation that began in Glen Burnie lead Northern District police detectives to Arnold where they arrested a man on drug charges.

Anne Arundel County detectives arrested a man Tuesday morning after an investigation that began in Glen Burnie led them to Arnold, police said.

Jonathan Grant Matthews, 24, of Arnold was charged with three counts of distribution of heroin, possession of a firearm during a drug crime and other drug and gun charges.

According to a police press release, Northern District detectives and members of the special operation section served a "no-knock" warrant at about 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of St. Antons Way in Arnold after an investigation into drug activity.

Detectives confiscated 78 capsules of suspected heroin, a .38-caliber handgun, five suspected Suboxone pills, more than $4,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
