Firefighters Battle Blaze at Elkwood Court Townhouse

There is no damage estimate available at this time, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A fire inside a two-story townhouse on Elkwood Court brought out 28 firefighters to assist in dousing the flames.

Anne Arundel County firefighters were called to a house fire at the 600 block of Elkwood Court in the Broadneck side of Annapolis on Tuesday at about 4:40 p.m., according to Division Chief Michael Cox.

Firefighters found a fire inside, and due to its size, they requested additional resources. In all, it took 28 firefighters about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control, Cox said.
