Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter in Fatal 2011 Arnold Wreck

A driver ran red light on Ritchie Highway going 61 mph, crashing into an Arnold woman.

The driver who caused a fatal car accident in July 2011 pleaded guilty in Anne Arundel County court on Wednesday to negligent manslaughter, according to online court records.

Tyler Durant Stewart, 30, of Baltimore, will have a sentencing hearing on Dec. 5 in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.

The Capital Gazette reported that Stewart's blood-alcohol content was at least .12 when he sped through a red light at the intersection of Ritchie Highway and College Parkway in Arnold, driving at least 61 mph. Stewart crashed his 2002 Honda Accord into the passenger side of a 2004 Audi driven by Lois Feick, 71, of Arnold.

Feick was later pronounced dead after being transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center. Stewart sustained minor injuries in the crash.
