Police Charge 3 Men With Attempting to Steal Generator

One of the men was spotted with bolt cutters near a Broadneck area home, which led police to the suspects.

Three men were arrested Thursday and charged with attempted theft after trying to steal a generator in the Broadneck area, police said.

Anne Arundel County police responded to the 800 block of Creek View Road in Arnold for a report of attempted theft. A witness saw a man get out of a vehicle with bolt cutters. The man then got back in the car and sped off in the vehicle with others, according to a police report.

Using the vehicle's description provided by the witness, police were able to locate the men behind a residence in the 200 block of North Drive. Police said the three men were found near a shed "that was possibly broken into as well," according to the report.
