Cape Crime: Teens Take Cash, Cigarettes in Tobacco Store Break-In
Police said two teens were involved in burglarizing the Discount Tobacco store in Cape St. Claire on Thursday.
Two teens were charged after police said they broke into a tobacco store in Cape St. Claire.
Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said officers responded to the Discount Tobacco store in Cape St. Claire on Thursday at 4 a.m. for a reported break-in.
An officer saw evidence of forced entry into the business and found a large stone lying on the sidewalk in front of the door, Mulcahy said.

More than 15 packs of cigarettes and about $50 in cash were removed from the business, according to the store's owner.
Using surveillance, Mulcahy said officers were able to get a description of the suspects. Later, an officer located a male and female that matched that description. Both were in possession of multiple packs of cigarettes, according to police.

Both suspects were positively identified using video surveillance, Mulcahy said.
A 15-year-old female was issued a juvenile citation, and Joshua Wheeler, 19, of Annapolis, was charged with second-degree burglary, destruction of property and theft of less than $1,000, according to police.
