UPDATED: Broadneck Student Charged In Stabbing Incident

Police have arrested an Arnold teen involved with last week's stabbing of a 17-year-old.

On Thursday, officers arrested a 15-year-old male from Arnold, a student at a Broadneck school, for his involvement in the stabbing and charged him with First Degree Assault and a Weapons Violation. The suspect was charged as a juvenile.

A 17-year-old man with stab wounds in the back came to the door of the at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to Anne Arundel County fire spokesman Steve Thompson. He was taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for his injuries, which were later determined to be life threatening.

Initial information gathered from a witness by Anne Arundel County Police indicated that the incident occurred near Barrensdale Drive. The victim along with another man and a woman were reportedly in a stopped vehicle, said police spokesman Justin Mulcahy in an email.

The stabbing reportedly occurred when a struggle took place when the two men were outside of the car and they were allegedly accosted by several men, according to Mulcahy.

Two subjects face drug charges after suspected marijuana was found in the victim's vehicle, said Mulcahy. Police will continue to investigate the incident.
