3 Hospitalized Overnight in Church Road Crash

All three involved suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

Two children and one adult were sent to the hospital after their car struck a tree near the intersection of Church and Jones Station roads in Arnold Thursday evening.

Units responded at 9:19 p.m. Thursday to Church Road and found a car that had struck a tree. Three people were inside the vehicle, including two children who were trapped, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department Chief Keith Swindle.

A 40-year-old woman was airlifted to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious but not life-threatening injuries, Swindle said. The two children, ages 7 and 9, were transported to Johns Hopkins Children's Center with serious but not life- threatening injuries.
