Traffic Stop Results in Drug Bust in Arnold

In a routine traffic stop, police find substantial amount of crack cocaine and arrest two local men.

Two local men were arrested last night on drug charges after a traffic stop revealed they were in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and attempted to get rid of it out the passenger window, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

Theodore Eggsware Jr., 43, of the 1600 block of Secretariat Drive in Revell Downs and Kyle Leon Porter, 25, of the 1200 block of Stonewood Court in Whispering Woods were arrested and charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute and possession of CDS. Eggsware was also charged with driving on a suspended license, while Porter was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia.

The two were pulled over for a traffic violation just after midnight, early Friday morning in the area of Ritchie Highway and West Campus Drive in Arnold. An officer saw Porter attempt to drop a plastic baggie on the ground out of the passenger side window, according to the police report.

The baggie was recovered and found to contain a substantial amount of crack cocaine that county police estimate to be worth $1,640. According to police, the officers also found drug paraphernalia and a smaller amount of marijuana.
