Two Broadneck Residents Arrested at Village Inn

Both were arrested on Thursday night for drug-related charges.

Two local men were arrested on drug-related charges at the Village Inn on Old Mill Bottom Road in Annapolis just before 8 p.m. on Thursday, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

Marcus Dorod Day, 32, of the 400 block of Broadneck Road, and James Leon Preston, 29, of the 1100 block of Riverboat Court, were arrested at the motel after officers seized more than $400 worth of suspected cocaine, $125 worth of suspected marijuana, and more than $400 in cash along with drug paraphernalia, according to the police press release.

Both men were charged with possession and ossession with intent to distribute. Day also had an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support, according to police.

The arrest was made by officers from the Eastern District P.A.C.T. (Police and Community Together) unit.
