Arnold Delegate to Make Bid for Governor

George will begin campaigning in June, he said.

Del. Ron George, an Arnold Republican, Monday said he plans to run for Maryland Governor in 2014.

George, 59, who owns Ron George Jewelers in Severna Park and Annapolis, is a two-term Republican serving in the House of Delegates, where he is a member of the Ways and Means Committee.

George represents District 30, which covers areas of Severna Park and Broadneck.

I met Delegate George a few years ago during session. He is a candidate that I would support and campaign for. It certainly would be refreshing to have a governor who actually listened to and worked for the people of this state.
