Group at Senior Center Supports Men Who Are Caregivers

Since men may have different questions than women caregivers, they requested a support group of their own that will be held at the Arnold Senior Activity Center.

Male caregivers may face special challenges that are different from those of women, and now they can find support with others in the same situation at the .

Men who care for their spouses, parents or other relatives or friends requested their own support group, according to a release from the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.

The caregiver support group for men only is offered by the county and the National Family Caregiver Support Program, which provides information to people who take care of their family and friends.

The group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the senior center. The next meeting is Oct. 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. For information, call 410-222-4464, ext. 3043.
