20 of Broadneck's Top Athletes Sign College Commitments

Student athletes sat down with pens in hand in front of their peers and parents on Thursday afternoon.

Some of the brightest athletic stars in Broadneck all sat in a row on Thursday with their parents and friends to formally sign commitments to colleges in the fall.

Posed with their favorite sports equipment along a table long enough to accommodate the 20 athletes, the top talent of the high school swapped stories and shared their hopes for their next big move—to college.

Athletics Director Ken Kazmerak said this was a historic occasion. The group of students assembled to sign their commitment letters was the largest he could remember. Last year the school hosted a similar ceremony with four students.
