Sean Johnston, of Mt. St. Joseph, played a part in four of the first five goals getting Anne Arundel off to a great start. His performance was a tell-tale sign of an outstanding game, he ended with four goals and three assists. Morris came roaring back to only be down 5-3 at the end of the first quarter.

The teams traded goals in the second quarter. Many of Morris's opportunities were thwarted by goalie Kevin Pastrana of Annapolis, allowing Anne Arundel to hold their three-goal lead at the end of halftime, leading 8-5.

Turnovers for both teams controlled the third quarter. Neither team could produce much offense. Penalties crippled the offense and Morris controlled the ball with repeated man-up opportunities.

The Anne Arundel defense was up too the task giving up Morris's last goal of the game. Anne Aundel's offense stepped up in the forth quarter with a 9-6 lead. Scoring four goals to break open the game.

Anne Arundel will play Suffolk County Community College, ranked fourth in the country, at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
