AACC Men's Lacrosse Seals Two Victories on Spring Road Trip

Anne Arundel's team won over Brookedale and Northern Virginia Community Colleges last week.

Anne Arundel Community College’s men’s lacrosse team enjoyed a successful spring break as they won a pair of road games.     

On March 19, the Pioneers (3-1) traveled to Northern Virginia Community College for the first of those two games. AACC posted 18 goals and allowed just three to defeat NOVA 18-3. Alex Hutchison led AACC with four goals. Steven Anderson added three goals while Sean Johnston, Ryan Killion, and Eric Crosby each scored two goals. Five others scored one goal as well. Carson Bekken was the lead assist man on the day with four.

Mike Brennan and Kevin Pastrana shared time in goal recording five saves and four saves respectively.

Looking to build on their success the Pioneers traveled to Brookdale CC in Red Bank, NJ just days after their victory over NOVA.

Again the Pioneer offense was potent nearly matching their 18 point performance days earlier with a 17-10 win over Brookdale.

Seven players scored for AACC but Johnston, Hutchison and Crosby put in four goals each to lead the team. Bekken netted two and again led the Pioneers in assists with three. Killion, Marshall Meyer and Timothy Brown each scored a goal. Hutchison also connected for three assists.

Pastrana played all 60 minutes in goal and tallied 18 saves.

The next game for the Pioneers is just down the road at the Naval Academy against Navy Prep which is scheduled for March 27 at 7 p.m.
