AACC Women's Soccer Triumphs Over Westmoreland

The women's soccer team beat Westmoreland County Community College 6-1 in a big win.

The following article was submitted to the Broadneck Patch by Duane Herr, Physical Education and Athletic Assistant at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC).

Anne Arundel Community College women’s soccer closed out the month of September with 6-1, a victory over Westmoreland County Community College on the 29th.

AACC blasted shots early and often at Westmoreland’s goalie and built a 3-1 lead going into halftime. The Pioneers would match their three-goal first half effort with three more in the second half. Anne Arundel’s defense shut out Westmoreland in the second.

Meghenn Jackson was the leading scorer for the Pioneers with two goals and a pair of assists. Ally Luttrell added a goal and one assist. Alyssa Hankins, Nikki Forrester and Brittany Leabhart each scored a goal for AACC.

Goalie Chelsea Clark-Ames recorded five saves in the contest.

The seventh-ranked Pioneers are now 5-4 this season and will travel to Community College of Baltimore County in Catonsville Thursday, Oct. 4 for a 5 p.m. MD JUCO conference contest.
