Visits, shows, forums, games, and exhibits are all offered this week at Anne Arundel Community College.

Hasan Minhaj, a comedian, actor and writer based in Los Angeles, performs a free concert as part of Multicultural Week, today, April 11, at noon in the Student Union dining hall. His appearances include “E!” “Comedy Central” and Yahoo’s “OMG the 411.” This event is co-sponsored by the Student Association Campus Activities Board and Student Life office. Myths and Perceptions of LGBT

“Myths and Perceptions of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community,” will be presented today, April 11, 2 to 4 p.m. in the Cade Center for Fine Arts, Room 219. Physicist’s Point of View

Eric Fons, AACC assistant professor of physics, will lead a free brown-bag lunch discussion titled “The Physicist’s Point of View,” on Tuesday, April 12, 1 to 1:50 p.m. Guests can learn how the concept of time is treated in various branches of physics and interesting consequences associated with different physical views of time. The event is sponsored by the AACC Institute for the Future and will be held in the Careers Center Building Room 129, on the AACC Arnold campus. International Fashion Show

Annual Forum on the Judiciary

The AACC Annual Forum on the Judiciary will be held Wednesday, April 13, 6 to 8 p.m. Titled "The Exclusionary Rule: Protecting the Constitution or Criminals?" guests can hear from judges throughout the county, the state and federal courts. Big Love 

“Big Love” performed by The Theatre at AACC, written by Charles L. Mee based on “The Suppliant Women” by Aeschylus, will be held on April 15 to 23 – April 15, 16, 21, 22, 23 at 8 p.m.; April 17 at 2 p.m. in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts. The story follows 50 brides as they flee their grooms and wind up in a villa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and features a crazy battle of the sexes complete with song and dance, a bathtub and cupcakes. Chesapeake Civil War Round Table

A free Chesapeake Civil War Round Table will be held on Thursday, April 14, 7 to 9 p.m. in the Cade Center for Fine Arts, Room 219. Mark Bradley will lead a discussion on “The War in North Carolina.” For more information, call 410-777-2428.

Student Art Show

The “AACC Student Art Show,” will begin running on Friday, April 15 and run through May 1. Viewing is available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays-Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts Gallery. Call 410-777-2218 for more information.

Bollywood Party

A free “Bollywood Party” featuring dancing, food and an exhibit of Asian culture and clothing, will be held on Friday, April 15, 8 p.m. in the Student Union dining hall.
