Committed students, a new grant, fundraising, concerts, and science demonstrations at AACC this week.

AACC Students Commit to Completing Their Education

More than 100 Anne Arundel Community College students agreed to commit to completing their degrees or certificates at a "Commit to Complete Call to Action" event sponsored by the Student Association and Phi Theta Kappa at the college last week.

Students read aloud their pledge to perform specific tasks to achieve their academic goals, such as seeking academic advising and coming to class prepared. College administrators pledged to provide support for students’ efforts and to stress the value of attaining their educational goals.

The Commit to Complete is just one part of the AACC’s Student Success 2020 initiative, launched in December 2009, to help more students be successful and to double the number of degrees, certificates and workforce credentials earned by 2020.
