Belvedere Teacher Honored as 'McTeacher of the Year'
Martha Gardner will receive a special celebration hosted by McDonald's in Arnold on Tuesday.
Martha Gardner, the Belvedere Elementary fifth-grade teacher who earlier this year was named as Anne Arundel County's teacher of the year, has been named the McTeacher of the year by McDonald's.
Gardner will be honored by McDonald's at a special celebration scheduled for Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in Arnold.
"McDonald’s McTeacher of the Year Night provides members of Belvedere Elementary School and residents of Anne Arundel County the opportunity to thank Gardner for her commitment to education," according to a press release.

The restaurant chain will donate a portion of all sales earned during the event to Belvedere Elementary School and will be presenting Gardner with several surprise gifts.
Members of the community, parents and students are encouraged to come to McDonald's in Arnold at 1464 Ritchie Highway in Arnold to support this local teacher.
