BHS Star Kicker Chooses Maryland for College Career

Greene said he was offered a preferred walk-on spot on Maryland's football team.

Broadneck High School's star kicker Adam Greene, who holds the state record for the number of field goals kicked in a career, has chosen to attend the University of Maryland, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Greene, a senior at BHS, said he was offered a preferred walk-on spot on Maryland's football team. Maryland recently securred Big 10 status for the 2014 football season.

The BHS senior said he had been considering playing for Maryland, Navy and Wake Forest. Greene also told The Sun that the college's cyber security program was very important to him.
