Living Healthy with Chronic Conditions Six Week Workshop

On Fridays, starting January 21st through February 25th from 9:30am - 12 noon, the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities will present a free six-week workshop series entitled “Living Healthy with Chronic Conditions”.    This is a self-management program for adults to help them to handle their chronic conditions. These conditions include anxiety, arthritis, chronic pain, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and obesity. 

According to the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disability, the presenters will share techniques to deal with issues such as fatigue, frustration, pain and isolation.   Instructors will also teach participants about evaluation of new treatments, nutrition, appropriate exercise and medications and communication with family and health professionals .
