Former Broadneck Goalie Named Best Defensive Player in ACC

Lacrosse star Kasey Howard is making a name for herself at University of Maryland.

Broadneck High graduate Kasey Howard was recently named the best defensive lacrosse player of the week for her performance in a weekend game against Syracuse University.

Howard, who plays lacrosse for the University of Maryland, was one of two Maryland natives named as the best two players in the Atlantic Coast Conference for women's lacrosse this week.

In her second start in a college matchup, Howard, a senior, scored 11 saves on 28 shots, which allowed Maryland to overcome Syracuse University on Sunday.
