Local Students Awarded Rotary Scholarships

Two Broadneck High graduates receive scholarships by the Rotary Club of Annapolis.

The Rotary Club of Annapolis awarded cash scholarships of $1,000 each to four recent high school graduates from the Annapolis area to help defray the cost of college tuition and expenses. 

Eric Myers, son of Jay and Cindy Myers of Arnold, is a graduate of and will attend . 

Scott Horst, son of Thomas and Dona Horst of Annapolis, is a graduate of and will be attending Penn State University at University Park in State College, PA.

Annelise Buck, daughter of Christopher and Christine Buck of Annapolis, is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and will be attending the University of Maryland at College Park.

Caroline Hutchinson, daughter of Jamie and Abby Hutchinson of Annapolis, is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and will be attending Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA.

The Rotary Club of Annapolis awards cash scholarships each year to area students who plan to attend an accredited college or university and who have demonstrated a commitment to community service, according to a release from the rotary club. The awards this year were presented at the Club’s meeting on June 21.
