Parents Blast AACPS for Cold School Day Decision

More than 500 comments were left on the AACPS Facebook page about the decision to have a regular schedule Tuesday.

Parents of students at Anne Arundel County Public Schools took to Facebook on Monday and Tuesday to voice concerns for their children.

More than 500 comments were left on the AACPS Facebook page as of 9 a.m. Tuesday—mostly by parents complaining about their children being asked to attend school on the coldest day of the year, as temperatures dipped into single digits, with a windchill of -17 in some areas of the county.

Complaints were largely devoted to students having to wait at bus stops in the cold weather and concerns about schools not being kept warm enough.
