Six AACC Educators Win National Teaching Awards

Anne Arundel Community College professors will be awarded at a conference later this month in Austin, Texas.

Six faculty members at will be awarded for their outstanding service and teaching excellence a conference at the end of the month.

The 34th annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence is from May 27-30 in Austin, Texas. According to a press release from the college, the winners include:

  • Thomas W. Edison, Ph.D, associate professor and department chair of world languages
  • Susan M. Fox, R.N., associate professor of nursing
  • Linda J. Johnson, P.T., academic coordinator of clinical education, physical therapist assistant program
  • Anne G. Kennedy, curriculum coordinator, English as a second language
  • Susan C. Kilgard, Ph.D., associate professor, communications
  • Nicole R. Williams, Ph.D., associate professor and coordinator, human services

The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development will present each of the winners with medallions during the awards ceremony in May.Β

Founded in 1978, the group has members that include more than 700 community colleges worldwide and is part of the Community College Leadership Program at the University of Texas in Austin.
