Some local buildings not ready for students.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open on time for students and staff tomorrow, August 31, with the exception of the following schools, listed alphabetically, which will be closed:
Arlington Echo
Arnold Elementary
Cape St. Claire Elementary
Carrie Weedon Science Ctr.
Chesapeake Science Point
Crofton Woods Elementary
Eastport Elementary
Four Seasons Elementary
Glen Burnie Park Elementary
Marley Glen Special School
Maryland City Elementary
Overlook Elementary
Shady Side Elementary
Solley Elementary
Windsor Farm Elementary
Essential and emergency personnel at the schools that are closed should report to their work locations as required. Parents whose children are going to school are likely to encounter issues related to traffic light outages, bus delays, and traffic backups tomorrow morning, and are urged to exercise extreme caution and allow additional time to transport their children to bus stops or to school.
