Volunteer Center Honors Projects for Positive Impact on Community

Nine volunteer projects will be honored Thursday for having the "greatest impact" on the residents of Anne Arundel County and the city of Annapolis.

Among the recipients, interior design students from (AACC) will be recognized with a young leaders award for the in Crownsville. Students took on the multipurpose meeting room at Hope House as a class project, transforming it from a cluttered and messy space into an inviting place to spend time.

Participants in each project will be inducted into this year's Volunteer Project Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Volunteer Center for Anne Arundel County and the Coordinators of Volunteers of Anne Arundel County (COVAAC). A celebration and presentation of awards will take place Thursday at in Edgewater.
