Sun May Shine On Saturday Plungers

Plungers could be looking at a clear, sunny sky when they dip into the cold waters.

Despite the frosty weather outside, and incoming snow Friday afternoon, Polar Bear Plungers should expect sunny skies by Saturday, according to online weather reports.

It still won't be a cakewalk, with a projected high of 33 degrees. That's more than 25 degrees cooler than the 2012 Plungefest. But that's not likely to stop thousands of people from plunging into the Chesapeake Bay on Saturday afternoon.

Weather.com reports that the temperature should be 31 degrees and sunny by noon on Saturday when the big event begins. Plungers will be greeted by a mild, 12 mph wind as they emerge from the Bay.
