Opening Day for Broadneck Baseball is April 14

BBSC's Opening Day celebration this year will take place on Saturday, April 14 at . 

Things will kick off at 8 a.m., with the Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition. The competition is open to all BBSC boys and girls between the ages of 7-14, and there is a separate, unofficial competition for those under age 7, with prizes for all of our younger participants.

  • Rockwall, face painting, fun tattoos, speed pitch, tin-can alley and other fun games.
  • Concessions, BBSC merchandise, used equipment yard sale, and raffle.
  • Meet Louie from the Bowie Baysox, the Chick-Fil-A “Cow” mascot, and fun clown
  • Anne Arundel County Fire Department Company 19 truck, and other community participants

These activities will be followed by our annual parade around the BHS football field, starting at 11:30 a.m. We urge all players taking part in the parade to arrive no later than 10:30 a.m.

The parade will show off BBSC team banners, drum line and the Cape Cougars Cheerleading, followed by our first pitch.  There will be just a few games on Opening Day to save parents the trouble of attending both the parade and baseball games.  Most actual games will start the following Tuesday, April 17 for baseball and Saturday, April 21 for softball.

Bring the family, participate in the activities, have some lunch and enjoy meeting all of your friends from the BBSC community. Cancellation due to weather will be announced by email and through the BBSC website if needed the morning of the event.
