Vehicle Vandalizes Fields in Broadneck

Soccer practice has been canceled until the Broadneck Park field is repaired.

A series of wet tire tracks circle the lower field at Broadneck Park and Bay Head Park, and authorities are looking into it.

Broadneck Park is owned by Anne Arundel County, but regularly maintained by several local residents, including Broadneck Area Youth Sports (BAYS).

Kara McGuirk-Allison, the director of , said a police report has been filed with Anne Arundel County, and they are looking for any information on the culprit.

"We need to send out a strong message that this kind of behavior in the parks that we all worked so hard to build will not be tolerated," McGuirk-Allison said.

The Broadneck Soccer Club posted on its Facebook page that teams have canceled practice due to the condition of the fields.

"We are extremely short on fields as it is. Any help finding the responsible party willing to volunteer their time and money to help with repairs will be greatly appreciated," a club representative said.
