Last Chance: Soccer Academy Comes to Broadneck Monday

Don't miss the chance for your kids to get soccer coaching from professionals.

Ask any parent—sports are big in Broadneck. Now that the weather is warmer, there are many sporting events for children in the area.

On Monday at Bay Head Park, DC United will begin training the next generation of soccer pros. Only registered Broadneck and Cape St. Claire soccer players may participate, but registration is free.

Alex Torres, director of coaching at the Broadneck Soccer Club, said these training sessions are great for new or experienced players.

We will have coaches from DC United, Baltimore Blast, Coerver Coaching MD, UK Elite and Soccer Means More," Torres said in a release. "These professionally trained soccer coaches will follow a structured well-rounded curriculum to make sure our players get the best training they can—all at no additional cost."

The academy begins Monday at 5 p.m. for children ages 8-9, 6 p.m. for ages 10-11, and 7 p.m. for ages 12-14.
