Two Playoff Games Down for Broadneck's Lady Bruins

Broadneck defeats Annapolis 10-7 yesterday and continue in regional playoffs.

The Broadneck Bruins vs. Annapolis Panthers dueled Saturday afternoon in regional lacrosse playoffs and it was an intense one. The lead was maintained by Broadneck throughout, but Annapolis didn’t go down without a fight.

Broadneck's first goal was made by Paige Duncan, assisted by Ali Dawson just six minutes into the game. The second goal was by Logan McCarthy who scored again for the third goal. Ellie McNulty made the fourth goal, assisted by Ali Dawson. Dawson was also the next to score. Coming from a crease roll from behind the net, Dawson faked left, and finished to the right. An amazing 20-yard pass from Aislinn Probst to Zoe Earnest scored the sixth goal.

With 1:22 minutes left in the first half, Probst was pulled out due to an ankle injury and remained out for the rest of the game. But the Lady Bruins pushed on.

Both teams played a great game and Annapolis’ goalie Claire McCabe kept her team in the game until the very end with numerous difficult saves.
