Tips for Beating the Autumn Blues

Are you feeling down about the end of summer? Try some of these suggestions!

Are you feeling down about the end of summer? Try embracing all of the wonderful things the fall season has to offer!

*  Get out in nature and enjoy the beautiful colors of the leaves. Nature is one of the very best uplifters and the cooler weather is the perfect time to get out for a refreshing walk, which is also healthy and stress relieving.

*  Treat yourself to a colorful mum and enjoy it each time you see it. Fresh flowers are always a great self-nurturing treat.

*  Go to a pumpkin farm and pick out your favorite pumpkin ... go home and have fun carving it or buy a couple and make a homemade pumpkin pie. Don't forget to bake some of the seeds for an additional fall treat. Having fun, playing and laughing are wonderful ways to reduce stress and achieve a greater sense of balance in your life.

*  Relax and sip some hot apple cider ... really notice how wonderful it tastes and the warmth feels. Mindful activities such as this are great stress reducers and adding simple pleasures throughout your day is a wonderful way to self-nurture and relax.
