Daffodils Galore in Arnold
Enjoy the daffodils when stuck on College Parkway and Route 2 traffic.
An afternoon peak rush hour traffic through College Parkway to Route 2 and back inspired this first post. I know it may sound crazy but I was actually happy about the thick volume of vehicles and red lights that gave me enough time to enjoy the gorgeous daffodils swaying in the warm sunny early Spring air.
Daffodils have always been a welcome sight to Winter weary eyes. It signals the end of cold weather and brings a promise of warm days ahead.
Last Fall I intended to plant daffodils but I forgot to buy them on time, so this year I have to make sure I have it in the calendar. They are the best bulbs for the buck, they come up every year. The deer and squirrels wont even touch them.

A poet I am not, but I try to give some justice to the daffodils with my lens.
This post even reminded me of my high school days when my English teacher made us memorize this poem!

"Daffodils" (1804)
By William Wordsworth (1770-1850)
I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
