Goshen Farm Hosts Spaghetti Harvest This Weekend

The first-annual spaghetti harvest on Saturday will feature vegetables grown right on the historic property.

There are few things tastier than home-made spaghetti sauce. And this weekend, you can get a sampling of the Goshen Farm community garden's freshest ingredients at its first-annual spaghetti harvest.

Goshen Farm celebrated its annual open house event on Saturday, and volunteers are gearing up for the weekend's big spaghetti harvest.

The Goshen Farm Preservation Society works to preserve a more than 300-year-old farm and home, encompassing roughly 22 acres behind the soccer fields at Cape St. Claire Elementary School.

This year, the society opened a community sharing garden on the property with plots of soil available for local gardeners. The first-annual spaghetti harvest on Sunday will feature vegetables grown on the historic property.

The feast is open to the public and tickets cost $5 for the 5 and 7 p.m. dinners on Saturday. All proceeds benefit a grant, which seeks to restore the historic Goshen Farm and its surrounding property in Cape St. Claire for future generations.
