Serving the neighborhoods across College Parkway from Anne Arundel Community College, Belvedere Elementary School is housed in an impressive new building, inside and out. Home of the Belvedere Bobcats, the school was awarded a Green School honor by the Maryland Assn. for Environmental and Outdoor Education. A featured new addition to the grounds is the Bobcat Courtyard Habitat Garden. A partnership has been established between Belvedere and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.

The school also provides the area's Early Childhood Intervention program for pre-school age children with special needs. Annual events at the school include a Santa's Workshop, science fair, and spring book fair. Its feeder schools are Severn River Middle School and Broadneck High. The school principal is Susan Errichiello.
