Life-long Broadneck Peninsula resident Dan Miller saw a need for more sit-down, family friendly restaurants when he decided to open Riverbay Roadhouse (formerly Bella's) in the Cape St. Claire Shopping Center. Opening its doors on September 11th of this year and having been completely re-constructed, this spacious and open restaurant features semi-private booths (some of them with their own 20" flat screen tv), plenty of tables in the main dining area, and a full-service bar area. The menu features appetizers, seafood, USDA Choice steaks, soups and salads, wings, burgers and sandwiches like jerk chicken, veggie, Riverbay Roadhouse crab cake, and oyster po' boy.

We used to dine here frequently, but after tonight's incidents, we won't be back. Food is okay.. nothing spectacular and definitely not better than what can be found at other local establishments. Our major issue with Riverbay has been over the check. Tonight was the 3rd and last time we were overcharged. The first was a few weeks ago when a friend and I handed the waitress 2 credit cards and asked her to split the bill evenly, a seemingly easy task. She split it alright- but only after she rounded the bill up! The second time, with a carry out order, they refused to give change. And tonight, we were charged full price for a couple of glasses of wine when we were there specifically for happy hour, sat in the bar and pointed to the $2.50 glasses of wine on the table tent when ordering. Management took off 1 glass; our waitress ended up covering the difference between the happy hour price and the price we were charged. Is business that bad that the restaurant can't cover for a waitresses mistake and make it right for the customer? We won't be back. It's not worth the hassle for mediocre food.

Went to the Rode House the other night and got the wings that were on special (buy 10 get 10 FREE) we also ordered drinks and another meal. I was suprised when the bartender told us we could not take our remaining 6 wings home with us. That is ridiculous I can see not doing buy one get one free for carryout but when two people buy two meals come on. I live in the Cape and eat out 4 nights a week and will never go back! I know now why there was only 2 tables with people at them and 5 people in the bar when we left at 6:30 on a SPECIAL night

My husband and I really enjoyed the food, the service, the atmosphere and of course the location. The staff is friendly and attentive, some of the specials include beer, they are accomodating and the food was cooked perfectly. We are planning to go back soon and try something else.
