Detectives seize cocaine, crack cocaine, Oxycodone, a vehicle and cash at the Arnold residence.
A man was charged with possession of cocaine, crack cocaine and Oxycodone after police searched an Arnold home Thursday night. Anne Arundel County police arrested 49-year-old Terry Norman Dunscomb of the 400 block of Broadneck Road on multiple drug-related charges. According to a police press release, detectives seized 20 grams of suspected crack cocaine worth about $1,900 along with 7.7 grams of suspected cocaine worth about $700, Oxycodone tablets worth about $550, drug paraphernalia, a vehicle and $1,347 in cash.

Emergency officials said the man sustained a laceration to the head.
A man was rushed to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore on Monday after sustaining a cut to the head near the Bay Bridge, according to a fire department spokesman. It was not immediately clear how the man got hurt. Capt. Michael Pfaltzgraff of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said the man, believed to be in his 30s, was injured shortly after 5 p.m. and taken to the toll administration building. Pfaltzgraff said the injury was serious, but not life-threatening. The Maryland Transportation Authority is investigating the incident.

Two dogs, which authorities described as young pit bulls, allegedly attacked and killed a cat on Saturday.
Anne Arundel County Animal Control responded to Cape St. Claire on Saturday for a report of two dogs having killed a cat. Authorities arrived at the 700 block of Mt. Alban Drive on Saturday afternoon and took control of the two dogs: a 2- to 3-year-old pit bull and a 6-month-old pit bull. Both dogs were impounded by authorities, according to Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesman Justin Mulcahy, who added that the investigation into the incident is ongoing. "After completion of the investigation, animal control will make the determination based on the law as to how to proceed with the animals," Mulcahy said. Anne Arundel County Police Chief Larry Tolliver announced his resignation Tuesday afternoon, in a letter that says the decision was not "stimulated" by negative claims about the department.
After a stretch of less than nine months heading police in Anne Arundel County, Chief Larry Tolliver announced his resignation Tuesday afternoon, as the county awaits the outcome of an investigation into claims of unfair treatment within the department. "I am resigning today because the department needs a chief who can focus solely on the department’s mission, something that is challenging to do in the current environment," Tolliver said in the letter. Tolliver's resignation is effective May 21. Patch contacted the office of County Executive Laura Neuman for information about possible replacements, but she has yet to respond.
