Pioneers will play in national tournament Nov. 8-11 at Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, NY.
The Lady Pioneers will face Richland College of Dallas in its first game of a national women's soccer tournament on Thursday. Anne Arundel Community College's Pioneers earned its spot in the nationals by claiming the regional and district championship title against the top-seeded Potomac State College. In the match against Potomac on Oct. 27, AACC took the early lead and carried a 2-0 lead into halftime. Each team would score a goal in the second half but it was AACC capturing the Region and District title with a 3-1 victory. Meghenn Jackson, Nichole Forrester and Katie Cox each scored goals for the Pioneers and each earned All-Tournament team honors. The ladies won over Potomac State Community College with a 3-1 victory.
The Lady Pioneers triumphed over regional rivals Potomac State Community College in a championship match on Saturday. The Pioneers won their seventh straight game with a 3-1 score over Potomac, with Katie Cox, Meghenn Jackson and Nikki Forrester each scoring goals. All three players were named to the All Tournament Team. The Pioneers will next challenge Tompkins Cortland College in New York for the National Tournament on Nov. 8.

The Lady Pioneers swept their last game with a 6-0 win over oxford College.

The Anne Arundel Community College women’s soccer team will play for the NJCAA Division III Region 20 Championship on Saturday afternoon. On Tuesday evening the Pioneers played their way into the Region 20 semifinals by defeating Westmoreland County Community College 4-0 in the tournaments opening round. The win pitted number 3 AACC against the second seed, Oxford College at Emory University in a Thursday morning showdown. The Pioneers scored five first half goals against Oxford in route to their fifth straight Region Championship appearance and first appearance at the Division III …
