Construction at Canterbury Village is already underway to bring 130 new single-family lots in Arnold by 2014 off of Jones Station Road. But its neighbors might not know that the neighborhood has plans to cut through the community of Brightleaf. The final plan for Canterbury Village shows that Nancy Lynn Lane, which will serve as a circular main artery for the neighborhood, will connect up with Brightleaf Drive, a neighboring community. Currently, the two areas are separated only by a small black fence. But by the time construciton is complete, plans show the two streets will connect. Improvements to College Parkway are proposed in association with the new neighborhood being built.
A sign has been posted for a new residential development along Jones Station Road in Arnold. Canterbury Village, a D.R. Horton, development, will consist of 30 single-family lots and 100 townhome lots, just off of Jones Station Road. In July, Horton purchased land for two approved developments—Millstone Village in Severn, a 116-lot development between Reece Road and Loving Road, and Canterbury Village. It was the largest land transaction in Anne Arundel County in 2012. According to the Hogan Company, Canterbury Village is one of two developments in Broadneck that were on hold due to school capacity issues. An eight classroom addition to Broadneck High School in 2010 allowed the project to continue through the subdivision approval process. …

A national homebuilder purchased land in both Arnold and Severn that is prepped for development.
Land for a proposed Jones Station Road neighborhood was sold to a national homebuilder, along with a Severn neighborhood, for just less than $20 million. The Baltimore Sun reported it was the largest land acquisition of unimproved land in the county this year. D.R. Horton, which owns land in 28 states, purchased the land from Koch Development, according to Annapolis-based Hogan Cos., which is representing Horton. Horton purchased land for two approved developments: Canterbury Village in Arnold, which is a 130-lot development off of Jones Station Road.
