Anne Arundel Schools Get $8,000 Donation from Patient First

The company's donation goes to two schools near each of its centers of operation in Glen Burnie, Laurel, Odenton and Pasadena.

Local healthcare provider Patient First recently donated $1,000 each to eight county elementary schools, two in each community that it serves. Schools that received the $1,000 donation are: According to a release from the school system, the schools will use the funds to expand book collections, enhance STEM offerings, or increase technological resources. “We are grateful to be able to support our community in this way,” said David Clark, community representative for Patient First.  “Sustaining our schools is essential to ensuring a better quality of community life.”  The company's donation goes to two schools near each of its centers of operation in Glen Burnie, Laurel, Odenton and Pasadena. AACC Offers Free Child Safety Seat Inspections

If a seat is not installed correctly, it will be removed and a certified technician will show the parent how to install.

How sure are you that your child's car safety seat is installed correctly? If you're 100 percent sure, then congratulations. But as a new parent, I'm still always double- and triple-checking the seat's connections each time I drive my son around town. To keep kids safe, and make parents feel at ease, Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is partnering with MD Kids in Safety Seats to offer the first car seat inspection of the year. The free event will take place 2-5 p.m. Wednesday at the parking lot and garages directly to the right of the Central Services Building on the Arnold campus, located at 101 College Parkway. Spring Class Registration Still Open at AACC

It’s not too late to register for spring classes at Anne Arundel Community College.

The first session of spring classes at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) begins on Jan. 23, but there is still time to register.  New classes are being offered this term at all instruction locations, including the new Center for Cyber and Professional Training. This session also brings a return to class offerings at North County High School and Meade High School, according to an announcement from AACC. The community college also offers options for those seeking flexibility for their work schedule. BASKETBALL: AACC Bounces Back With Win Over Frederick

Despite the odds, Anne Arundel stuck to their game and continued their streak of competitive basketball.

The following article was submitted to the Broadneck Patch by Duane Herr, Physical Education and Athletic Assistant at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC). The men’s basketball team at Anne Arundel Community College bounced back into the win column with a 79-71 win over a tough Frederick Community College program. The win brings AACC’s record to 11-5 overall and 3-4 in conference play. Riding a four game losing streak, the Pioneers traveled to Frederick for their first of nine consecutive MD JUCO conference contests that will conclude their regular season schedule. Frederick, which stands at fourth in the MD JUCO standings with a 13-5 overall record and 6-3 conference record, figured to be the favorite in the 7pm game.  Despite the odds…
